Of course I can't box like Roy. Nevertheless, I patterned my style after Roy. Some Ali too. Here's some good sparring from 1995, and a couple of quick interviews from the local TV station. Roy Jones, Jr.. I am your BIGGEST FAN. EVER. Pensacola in da' HOOOOOUSE, baby!

  • For the record, against the wishes of the trainers, I never wore headgear in sparring because I always felt it limited my vision, my ability to see punches coming. Because of my height, and reflexes, I was able to get away with it. This is not a fake video.

  • @MiniCHAMP7 same here on the headgear bro, its like wearing blinders. I just worry about cuts. Did you fight pro or underacheive and just amateur? you got pro level skills for sure.

  • @jasperzoe I gotta say, everyone that I ever met in boxing told me that I should turn pro. I didn't listen. And now I regret it. I guess women were more important to me than boxing. And thank you so much for your kind words.

  • ur downplaying ur talent by imitating the style of a heavyweight boxer. This isnt always the case (mayweather james tony)

but lighter wieghts are more capable than heavier. Wouldn't you agree ?

  • Depends on what you mean by "capable".. But remember, Muhammad Ali patterned HIS style after the great Sugar Ray Robinson. Ali was my hero before I knew about Roy Jones, Jr., and I started to emulate what Ali did in the ring.. Today, I've morphed into an Ali/Jones mix..

Too bad I'm in my late 30's now, but it was so much fun while it lasted.

  • Fast hands and that right hand you throw at 4:50 is definitely on the level of speed as Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Roy Jones.

  • @emjaymoggs hes retarded because him being a lighter weight he should try to put more speed and more rythm in his foot work instead of trying to be a macho man with his punches.. some good advice take some style from roy but you need your own rythm because if not your gonna be off balance and get knocked down and another good tip roy was the shit so dont ever put your hands down he can but you should keep em up lol

  • dont want to sound like a hater, but this has tickled me. I mean dude you gonna take them sparing partners seriously. the 1st guy was fat and couldn't box to save his life, he was scared. the 2nd guy, better but again timid and useless. You're not even wearing headgear which says to me this can't be for real. You leave your chin out to dry and a southpaw would murder you all day. Having said that i myself idolise ALI/Jones so i respect that, and your footwork is good. the gym looks sh1t too.

  • great training, I love the first song from the begin of the video, I use to hear a lot. :)

  • fool
