Recall listening to a Traviata on the radio a few years back and wondering who, WHO was the terrific, FANTASTIC Violetta??? It turned out to be Anna Moffo. She is splendid here, too. Thank you sschimel for posting, and thank you Nate for sharing!

Anna Moffo has a radiant voice, an excellent florid technique, and expressive artistry. This is the way I remember her in live performance. She was under-rated when in her prime and after her death is still not given the recognition she deserves. Thanks for posting this, sschimel.

This was very beautifully sung! Anna Moffo had all the makings of a grand bel canto soprano. Her voice was radiant, angelic and thrilling. I really enjoyed this. Thanks

Anna was a goddess. This is an unjustly neglected aria. I was familiar with only the Tebaldi version of it from a recital recording of Renata's. Thanks for posting this. Too bad the modern day sopranos of 2010 don't record this.
