Real Salt Lake? since when is spanish the dominant language in Salt lake city? so that's opposed to the fake salt lake? maybe if we weren't trying to be real madrid or barcelona, we wouldn't have to compete with them for fans

There are two sides of every coin. Some believe MLS team names like EarthQuakes or Wizards are stupid names. I guess MLS chose to gratify "euro centric" american soccer fans adding the FC and Real with city names to gain acceptance. Overall, it is a shallow way to discard the league because of names. If people are honest enough to care for the growth of the sport in their own country then support it. Most soccer fans are looking for quality. MLS will never attain it if it's brushed aside.
