Okay. One thing. THE FACT THAT ADRIAN WAS ADOPTED DOES NOT MEAN THAT THIS WASN'T INCESTUOUS. People who are adopted are still related, still family, still connected to their parents in a way that is just as strong as biological children. Not that the show's relationship is WRONG, it's extremely well acted and I love the way the writers portrayed Ava. But people can't pretend that it isn't incest just because Adrian didn't technically come from Ava's previously male loins.

Nip/Tuck is pure brilliant.

Ava couldn't have kids as she used to be a man so she and her husband had Adrian with a surrogate. She raised him as her son from birth. By taking him from his father when he was a baby, raising him, grooming him, abusing him from the age of 12, then falsely telling him he was adopted and his bio parents didn't want him she made him dependent on her, to the extent he killed himself when he felt rejected by her. While not bio related, they had a family relationship she used to abuse him.
