  • Did I miss something at the end? The video cuts off abruptly just as you were talking about the Tunisian style hooks.

  • @dreamchaser7177 Sorry I did not find a good editing point there. I was rambling and cut it there.

  • Do you prefer the Susan Bates hooks or the Clover hooks??

  • @Moerox666 sometimes. It depends on the project. I like the grip of the clover and how light weight they are. Plus there size is clearly printed on the handle. But sometimes I prefer the Bates. The Bates hook is more defined so I drop stitches less than with the clover.

  • Wow, this is going to be great. I have never heard of the Susan Bates. Maybe I just never noticed. I do like the way the shaft looks on it though and you are right the Boye does split the yarn. lol. Thanks.

  • Thank You!

  • The store nearby hear only has aluminum with small sizes (Susan Bates brand) and the bigger sizes in the plastic type, or in the Susan Bates brand aluminum bigger sizes but they are the really long hooks. Would you recommend me sticking with the aluminum even though to get the bigger size its a long hook or should I go to the plastic ones?

  • Can u do a tutorial on the speed hook ( S size hook)?

  • I bought Boye hooks and was having the same problems with yarn splitting. It was so frustrating, and of course when I got frustrated my crochet work got tighter and made splits happen even more, lol.

  • @MegaGabyLOL I leared with a Boye size "J" hook. Now I like the "Bates" style hook better, but some folks like the boye style. You should use a hook size that would fit your yarn. For medium worsted (#4) yarn, an I (5.5 mm) or a J (6 mm) would work.

  • i meant to say what hooks are good with begginners ( type and size )

  • and what do recommend for begginners hooks

  • how much did the cheapest hook cost

  • @Bethintx1 Lol, ok. I was really getting interested in it. Perhaps you could do a video at some point with more of that detailed info that was cut out :) Great videos, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
