  • @pr132002 Well.. not really... You wear out the breaks, but your clutch does not wear out at all, its untouched in brake boosting.. When you break boost you're already in gear all you do is add break and throttle up, if you want to keep the same speed but add more throttle then you have to add more brake and balance the two, watch the boost build up then let go of the brake and floor the throttle. CLUTCH is not needed in brake boosting there for wont wear it out :)

  • What is break boosting exactly?

  • well you see, "break" boosting is the boosting of the hours u spend on a break. may it be at work, school.. we can "break" boost by taking extra time on our timed breaks.

  • Why do the two top comments talk about "break" boosting?

  • Why is everyone so concerned with brake wear? brake boosting wears your brakes no faster than braking to stop does. Where are all you people on the brake stand burnout videos??

  • Brake boosting wears your brakes and your clutch. Remember your clutch transfers all of the power from motor to your trans via the flywheel. Your trans then drives your exles/drive shaft. Braking lowers/regulates transmision speed, then keeping your foot on the gas increases load on the engine threw the clutch. The extra load on the motor helps in creating boost and increasing wear on the clutch. Most aftermaket clutches can handle it, but on the stocker its days are limited. Nice Vid!

  • Fucks up your clutch mainly

  • it does mess up both dumb ass, your forcing pressure(brakin) on your clutch which is forcing your clutch and the flwheel is tryin move more which is puttin all the power on the clutch, if you don't have a clutch that can take it you'll end up with a slippin clutch

  • Sorry for asking but how do you brake boost?

  • from what I heard, brake boosting gives no lag but fucks up your brakes and tranny if done wrong.

  • two different things. when you brake boost you wanna be in your powerband so you can spool the turbo as much as you can. me, i can brake boost at 4k rpms and hit full boost, 10-11psi before i let off the brake
