  • vcr to the max man!!!!

  • I actually got to drive that 1913 Stutz Bearcat when it was here in Chicago. Incidently it was created for a short lived NBC series called BEARCATS!

In a recent interview Barris said he wants the original Batmobile to go to the Smithsonian

  • Those 80s Chix were hot!

  • this was the fuzz bat made for the show circuit in the 70's. barris had three cars that were used for show and were in the us and europe at the same time. this was the #5 car and was later restored to shiny paint and the correct bubble top and lights and is still shown to this day. the #1 batmobile/ futura is still owned by barris today and can be seen at his shop in north hollywood. he even has all the original parts saved from the original futura and are hanging on the wall in his shop.

  • Definitely one of the later ones with the '58 Edsel steering wheel.

Alvin's Acorn is currently in England - I helped put it in a museum last week.

  • edit add: the #1 Batmobile seen here in 1983 did have the bat-fuzz application, it of course was gloss when first created. The #1 as well as her vintage 3 fiberglass replica's at some time post show, had the Bat-Fuzz applied.

  • The first Batmobile seen, the fuzzy one, with Adam West (in long sleeved stripped shirt) is the original Futura-Batmobile, ie the #1(that was not for sale), the fiberglass (shiny) replica that sold for $77k was replica #3, this auction was in 1983

  • Was that Batmobile #5? The one with the Bat-fuzz on it? I noticed it also had no rear window bubbles and its beacon light was not the original one. Someone how knows the 66 Batmobiles can you please post? Eric Seltzer perhaps?

  • Childish

  • Great video! I think Barris still has many more awesome vehicles in his museum in daytona beach including grease lightning, k.i.t.t, the flintstone's car, and old indian motorcycles! Thank you for posting!
