  • Several years ago I visited Mexico City, and my host took me to one of the Baroque churches there. When we entered, I thought we had stumbled upon a concert, but it was an actual Mass with a small orchestra such as this. After Mass, they Had benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. When the "Tantum Ergo" was sung, the melody that they used was: this very one that is playing! The music lent itself to the Latin words beautifully.
