The Chairman of Asia Inc Forum, Dato Timothy Ong, who is also a relatively new Twitter user, said that the reason why he has been actively involved with social media is to obtain real-time information about what's happening in the world and the latest developments.

He said he would like to know what the young people are saying in the country, adding that he was more sociable in dealing with people the same age as he was.

He also said the ideas from the younger demographic "are what we need for the future of the country".

He also explained that he was never comfortable with technology, and to change and follow the latest trends (using Twitter) still makes him uncomfortable, but he did so for a change.
