Making their way across the weird and wondrous United States in search of the leader, a space-worthy vessel, and a really good plate of pork ribs, our intrepid explorers found themselves in the land of Tennessee. First stop, Memphis.

The River City is rich in music culture and the Spacemen conducted extensive research on this powerful mode of Earthling communication. Master Chief Nichron and Commander Moon discovered an arsenal of sorts, filled with a vast array of six- and four-stringed music machines. On nearby Beale Street, Space ears were delighted by the cathartic sounds of an idiom known as the Blues. Thrust Master Wally Sparks infiltrated one assembly and spiced up the local flavor with some Space Sauce. Please Spaceman, dont hurt em.

The Spacemen were not the only extra-ordinary beings on Beale. They questioned a dynamic duo of irregular interlopers.

Memphis was also home to Elvis Presley, the undisputed King of Rock and Roll (under the Supreme Holy Triumvirate of Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley, of course). Captain Beaujangles visited Presleys Graceland compound, where millions of Earthlings are touched by the Kings undying spirit. The captain, too, was a little touched. All shook up, indeed, Beau-J.

Will Captain Beaujangles grow out his sideburns, sport a bejeweled jumpsuit and cover every surface of Spaceship Excellent in lime-green shag carpet?

The Spacemen heard tell that two prospective leaders of this system would be meeting in nearby Nashville for a public tête-à-tête. What luck! Onward, you Space rascals! The second presidential debate awaits!

In Nashville the cosmic explorers found crowds of Earthlings gathered to support their respective candidate. Many different points of view were represented among the mob: there were Obamaniacs, McCainiancs, actual presidential impersonators, myriad media, and cops, cops, cops. Lets hear what our Space Cadets learned from the impassioned masses.

Heady stuff, to be sure, but Spaceship Excellent always finds time to get a groove on.

Will the Spacemen align themselves with a candidate and hit the campaign trail, stumping from the ship? Will they jump into the race themselves and run on the Libertarian ticket? Will they be sucked into an eddy in the space-time continuum underneath the Gateway Arch, never to be heard from again? Join us next time, from Saint Louis

ABOUT SPACESHIP EXCELLENT
The musical Spacemen are on a mission to explore the galaxy of the United States in search of the leader of the solar system. They travel in a spaceship bus, a mobile laboratory used for inspecting foreign towns and inhabitants. The viewpoints they collect become raw material for their live shows, where their experience becomes one with their audience. The mission will culminate in the nations capital on Election Day, when the new leader will be named.

This is a tour of cosmic proportions that is soon to become the worlds first ever Interactive Rockumentary. Each venue and person they meet on the way will set the stage for this cultural phenomenon, and they want you to be a part of it. ALL ABOARD.
