I lived in Buras intil I was seven (they year Katrina hit). I'm twelve now. We lost absolutely EVERYTHING. We didn't think the hurricane was going to be as bad as it was, so we left ALL of our animals when we evacuated because we'd left them before and they were fine. We were wrong. We never found any of them. We only had one wall of our house standing. We couldn't find the rest of the house. Not even the siding. Katrina hit Buras worse than New Orleans. A LOT worse.

Thanks for the video. If there is such a thing as a good video of the aftermath, this is it. I lived in Buras. I am now in Marrero and still miss soo much about this wonderful community.
