  • @J0hannski Now that you mention it... Yeah, he does. I guess as he gets older he just looks more and more like him. George is like 57 now so he's not exactly a young guy these days.

  • @MrRoger1969 I've reiterated the same point again and again because you didn't understand what I was saying. I've merely stated my own opinion, which the comment section on youtube is for. I have not been abusive or angry, it was you who escalated the situation. Learn to play nice on the internet and this won't happen again.

  • @bomdelux Dude quit being so anal and MOVE THE FUCK ON! I mean really, GET OVER IT!

  • @MrRoger1969 The way he is presenting it looks like it is part of a series of instructional videos, probably for a guitar mag or something so it'd be safe to say George knew it was going on. The recording quality is fine (a little compressed, but it is youtube after all), the hiss in the background isn't bad recording, it is the gain on the amp. I merely expressed a politely worded opinion on the tone and you were the one who got all irate and defensive about it.

  • @bomdelux Okay, my point is that this was uploaded 6 yrs ago, and made who knows when. All I hear is a sub par recording sound which might be due to someone bootlegging this. Who knows, but if it was either recorded properly, or not copied and reproduced, it might be a lot better. Get OVER the TONE thing already or don't listen!

  • @MrRoger1969 I never disputed your ability, or George's, to play guitar. I've merely suggested all along that the tone displayed in this video was not the greatest for teaching and as the title is "George Lynch Teaches Guitar", I'm more than justified to do so. It seems that you are the one making such an issue of it, maybe you can spend the next 35 years learning to listen...

  • @bomdelux Big deal your fucking degree - if you actually have one. I've played nearly 35 yrs so I don't give a shit - ok? Lastly, this is an older YouTube video that George probably didn't even intend to be published. GET THE FUCK OVER IT!!! Shall I get you a tissue for those tears while you go change your diaper??? Let it GO!!!

  • @MrRoger1969 I'm sure I have a bit of a clue, I have a degree in music and I'm a guitar teacher and have been for some years. The problem here is with your interpretation of what I'm saying. I'm not saying George is a bad player, he isn't. I'm not blindly saying that his tone is terrible because it isn't. I'm saying the tone he uses here is not the greatest for teaching (which is what he's doing) because the effects he is using (namely reverb/delay) are obscuring the notes he's playing.

  • @bomdelux You're clueless. Do you get that now? I have a very good ear for music and I've played and recorded via various methods. You clearly don't know shit. Why don't you post something if you're so great to criticize one of the best? Idiot!!!

  • @MrRoger1969 Once again, some real insightful stuff there, but you are entirely missing the point again, you'll get it soon, I'm sure. The tone he has here, though fine for gigging, is too obscure to clearly pick out everything he is doing, and hence is not good for teaching. When you teach someone, they will need the clearest sound possible to pick out all the subtle nuances of what is being played. Do you get it now? I could try and supply a diagram if it'd help...
