Dr. Joel C. Hunter, senior pastor of Northland Church in Florida and author of "A New Kind of Conservative," offers the closing prayer at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver. A pro-life Evangelical and a registered Republican who seeks common ground for the common good, Dr. Hunter believes that people with differing views can work together and can ultimately further their agenda without compromising their core moral convictions.

  • ?? shouldn't judge, but there's only one way to close a prayer. IN JESUS NAME.

  • I'll never go to Northland again.

  • I'll never go to Northland again.

  • amen Lisa. What is he doing? Ending this prayer and telling people of all faiths to close the way they do in their own religion??? This is the most liberal president we have ever had and it's obvious now he would love to stamp out Christianity. Eliminating National Day of Prayer, bowing to arab kings. Oya!

  • Galatians 1:6 if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

10For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a slave of Christ.
