If it goes away after warm up, then your fine. The passage ways in motor have some build up and takes longer for oil to reach that spot. Even new parts will receive oil slow through motor passage ways as it warms up. Wearing out new parts quicker. When you do new parts, or adjustment, you need to flush the heck out of motor with mineral spirits in oil. Then do the adjustments, or valve train parts replacement. Remember, do flush first. Not enough space here to detail the proper way to flush

they all do it. Mine does too. FYI: ticking = metal on metal, usually due to worn clearance in valve train. No more ticking = no more metal hitting metal....problem not covered up, but solved. Its not permanent solution. new parts are not permanent either. As long as you can make it stop ticking do it with a different oil. Wait till your going to do major mods to pull it apart and replace valve train same time. If it develops into a clacking sound, then start to worie, and fix it fast

get some "Xtreme Clean" Engine Flush and flush your engine before your next oil change.

Did you ever fixed it? cuz mine is doing the same thing, except when i accelerate. Idk if its a lifter or a camshaft.

did u find out what is was mines does the same thing and it scares me

my Z also has lifter tick. i see u have good oil pressure so u dont have oil starvation causing this. and they arent really that loud. try using a heavier oil or run some royal purple through it. unfortunaltely these really only mask the problem, but it'll quiet the noise. i'd recommend replacing the lifters. all of them. u dont wanna replace one just to have another one go out on u.
good luck and let us know if u resolve this issue.
