This video doubles as a test for my makeshift macro-lens on my Vado HD pocket cam.
I simply rubberbanded a small, high quality magnifying glass (made of actual glass, and about the size of a quarter) over the lens of the vado, e viola. Works pretty nicely, but I wouldn't mind having an even more powerful lens as another option.
The little white dot artifacts that sometimes shimmer into view are, I'm pretty sure, tiny specks of dust on the secondary lens catching the light.
I have to say that I had an absolutely horrible time trying to edit this together in W*nd*ws Movie Maker, but I'm glad I persisted, because it turned out fine in the end. Please comment if you have had difficulty editing videos shot with a Vado HD in WMM.
I do like this camera, but at the moment I'm pretty nervous about trying to edit files from it again.
