I blend in a perlin noise texture (thanks to LintfordPickle's noise generator!). I then draw the model again with its individual triangles spinning in place, with only the electricity texture applied to the triangles.

  • @jGuthr89 - Nope, no chance of a tut, but if you send me a message with your email I'll send you the code.

  • Blimy mate! That's a nice effect!

  • @NemoKradXNA Thanks mate! I'm beginning to think that the key(s) to a good effect are timing & attention. I was playing halo the other day and noitced that there are a lot of cool effects there that don't really stand out because they're animated too fast to really appreciate the detail in them (notice that this one doesn't really animate very quickly), and there are too many going on at once to pick out any single one and go "cool"
