Also, the main focus of this performance and the transciption is not because the piece takes more than one player to succefully render an interpretation, but to more clearly display some of the polyphonic textures that are often lost when played by one violinist. Did you indeed know that this fugue was originally for organ?

Wow, somebody's vicious. We all know that people make mistakes in live performances. That part, along with many other, of the spontineity is what displaces the live above recorded performances.

And a word about phrasing: I personally don't agree with some of the phrasings and tempi in this specific performance, however I don't think anyone is to judge whether or not a particular interpretation is good or bad. It's all subjective.
