Melbourne Band YoYo lead by singer Nichaud Fitzgibbon and trumpeter Gavin Cornish. This performance was a memorial concert for guitarist Matt Sandford Live at The Espy Nov 1989. Featuring some of Melbourne's finest - Yoyo was one of the hottest funk and groove bands in Melbourne in the late '80s and early '90 Featured raunchy vocals, heavy funk grooves and powerhouse horn section . Filmed by Dominic Fitzgibbon, Edited by Evan Bennett. ( unfortunately not all the performance was filmed.)

  • Guitarist Duncan Sykes played this night and subsequently joined the band and was a tour de force..... adding to the hot rhythm section which also featured Tim Neal on hammond organ

  • Drummer Andy Fitzgibbon was the driving force in the rhythm section.... he kept ont diggin in... Yoyo created grooves that always had the crowd dancin frantically...

  • Greg Rosser.....loved the way he changed the mood by taking it down at the start of his solo and then goes ballistic at the end with the band supplying the ammo.....
