Canticle for Timpani: Movement I

This is me playing at my senior rectial at Mansfield University, December of 2004. I am playing on Adams Timpani. This was a really fun solo, I only wish I could improve the sound quality of the vid. So much of the tone is lost. ):

didn't the ratchet pedals get in your way on the pitch changes?

hmm I swear I replied to this comment. I love the ratchet pedals, as it keeps the drums from sliping in pitch, I had been playing on them for about 6 semesters before that last recital, and learned the solo on them.

Sweet! The sound I thought was fine, given it was recorded with 2004 equipment. Recording equipment is better today, try recording it with a PC with camera and sound software. You will be pleasently pleased! best wishes and cheers!
