This segment of Public Television's "Minding your own Business," a program about small businesses in Kansas, features the Old Time Clock Shop in Wichita KS. A tour of the clock shop is presented by Scott Childs (Owner), with additional commentary by Nathan Childs about repairing clocks.
@bjjwc If it's a typical 8-day time-strike movement Sessions mantel clock (I don't think they even made Westminster chime movements), it can be fixed. Companies still sell replacement bezel glass, hands, etc too. Go to a clock shop.
If it's an electric movement, I don't know what to tell you.

I have a Westminster Session Mantel Clock that belonged to my Great Grandfather. It does not work. It has the original face plate, ring and hands but is missing the glass. I would like to get it repaired but I understand that the parts are no longe available. I'm wondering if it can be refit with a modern mechinism that would have the same (or close) chime. Any suggestions?
