I mixed together this video tribute to The Nils, one of Canada's best punk bands. The song is called fountains (circa '87) from the album Sell out Young.
THANK YOU! I first heard the Nils back in the day. I was in a crappy punk band with Sam Williams of Down By Law when we were in jr. high and he played me this record...which I loved...but have never been able to find a physical copy (Sam has it on vinyl). It was really a cut or two above. We thought the vocals were just amazing...we were correct.
Oh, and that was in Tampa, Fl back in '87. Years ago. Love the NILS.

Great post. It sounds so fresh, even after all of these years. I rank them along the greats like the Clash and Buzzcocks.

I can remember long time ago
when we were kids and said we didn't know
diving head first into the fountain of youth
didn't last long, that's the truth now.
Then one day, changed your mind
the only dream inside us most of the time,
were all of my pacts, and all of my promises,
all of my prayers and all of my wishes won't last.
