Rattle is a good Schubert conductor.

I was at Barbican London to listen to this piece under Rattle BPO.
The first mv is great. But I somehow feel that the rest movements orchestra put in too much effort thus in the end make me feel fatique.

It is nice to listen to the maestro and the musicians talk! I really enjoy it! One can learn much. I read the reviewers as well. The album/CD inserts are often enlightening too! It is very interesting!!

@RedSoxWSAgain The problem is in my opinion that everything about Rattle is marketing. I don't feel anything in his performances. Superficial decorated meal.

@christophleipzig I can understand your complaint with that but we live in the 21st century. If you don't market classical music it will sit and dry up worse than it already does. I applaud rattle for his efforts, I wish more conductors took his initiative instead of just leaving it up to the orchestra's managerial staff.
