Marc from Mirror Athlete Enterprises emphasises... To understand why a pain patient would choose to smoke medical marijuana you first must be able to put yourself into their shoes. The only way you could possibly do this is to read the full article, "Medical Marijuana and Pain Relief," posted at MAE Health Repository (Health Blog). Marc intends to follow up with this article with two more... One that looks more at the science supporting pain and spasm relief, also addiction.

  • Continued (to V. Hillbilly): thc is not addictive, do your research. Not physically or psychologically. How can it be the wrong thing when it enables me to love animals, smile, get out of the house. You have no right to curse, judge, and demean others because of your beliefs that are based on nothing; certainly not grounded in fact. Again, until you hurt, literally, every second of every day, you should close your mouth; ignorance! If you don't suffer from such, this is none of your business.

  • @louisvillepoet FYI: I left his post below as an example of an extreme view of the topic. I also gave him a chance to respond w some common sense. Got the same garbage back, deleted the garbage, then removed his access to post on this video. We are about pain mgt solutions. We can't have this kind of negativity when lives are already full of daily challenges. Wishing you a pain free day. Stay well and excited about life.

  • hey woodamarc, fuck you. i'm a soldier. i've personally bled for your children's freedoms while you were cowering behind our nation's borders getting stoned. i watched my friends die so you could be a free american stereotype. you're weak-minded, you're not worth dying for, and i wish i could trade you for my dead friends. thc is addictive. smoking ANYTHING can cause emphysema you're no better than any other drug users, cigarette smokers, or alcoholics. sorry for my service to your kids.

  • @VirtualBilly Thank you for your service. I felt compelled to reply to your less than honorable response. I know you haven't seen my materials in full. If you had, you'd know 1) I'm a retired 20+Soldier. 2) I don't smoke anything. 3) I've listed risks including, addiction, lung disease 4) I've protected "your" freedom of speech no matter how ugly 5) I'm not an advocate of recreation legalization 6) I provide health science info. I'm sorry for your loss, but attacking me is not the answer.

  • @woodamarc I have a question concerning those with chronic pain AND someone who has had a massive coronary which is currently under under control.

Are there any dangers to the heart with use of marijuana such as increased/decreased bmp/BP, troponin levels, etc...? Does it constrict the blood vessels?

I know nothing about marijuana so any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you and God bless.

  • Thanks for this...I agree that just a little bit of walking can relieve some symptoms

  • woodmarc: your response was excellent and very professional. I commend your honor, class, respect for other's opinions, and the open mind to hear what others say. But, hate has no place in any opinion. Thank you for handling yourself with class and empathy toward others.

  • VIRTUAL BILLY: (more like virtual hillbilly). Until, and, only until, you have, personally, a chronic pain condition, do not be our voices and the person that judges these alternatives. I have CRPS (COmplex Regional Pain Syndrome) and I have loss so much quality and quantity of life because of pain and lack of pain relievers. Having this debilitating condition (google it), smoking this, medicinally, is the ONLY moment of the day that I can stop hurting and breathe. Pain you cannot imagine...

  • @louisvillepoet yeah woodmarc, thanks for saying out loud that it's ok to do the wrong thing.

  • WOODMARC, just wanted to reconnect with ya say happy Thursday and thank you for posting videos and discussing topics that so many shy away from. The more we talk about change, and what that entails, the more our voices our heard and the less taboo such topics become. Thank you for your bravery and courage.
