  • One lady answered his openended ambiguous question correctly as can be done with one statement: "It has gone too far in some areas, and in some areas not enough."(1:05-1:08).

  • I found it especially telling that so many people felt comfortable answering without any legitimate specification; also, while I am sure the video was edited to include some of the more interesting responses, the number of obviously undeducated and frightening statements disturbed me more than a little bit. It's odd; I currently live in Texas, and I find that there are more people who disagree with our current international policies here than it appears there are in D.C.!

  • Really good video man, is interesting how USA people almost all the time says no... they love their country, i think tahts kinda.. ignorance? maybe reading newspaper sometimes? i love when u asked that to other cultures persons... maybe usa people need more general culture? i think YES. I respect usa, but i think personally that usa has gone too far in a bad sense... no more words.

  • you're right it's 2007 and i think the people aren't trapped in a time bubble. the question is abiguous, but people are answering the question as if all is understood. i understand their answers without them having to elaborate.

  • "but with everything that's going on now everyone understood the question."

If he asked that question in 1998 you will have gotten similar responses, but many people would have changed their opinions. Everything is "always going on!"

  • I find it revealing when people say how stupid americans are and don't mention race. Also, when "people of color" say that "america has gone to far" and it is "understandable" reveals a racial bias and "the race card." They are used just as much as ad hominem attacks.

  • 2 points - people had a definite answers to an unspecified questions (they didn't question the question) - also people of colour tend to be (understandably) more skeptical of life in the U.S.

  • kind of a vague question

  • This video is proof that the stupidity of the American people has gone too far.

  • but with everything that's going on now everyone understood the question. even the lady who couldn't speak english very well. i think it's great that he presented the question to young, old, people of different races and from different countries. he may have gotten a few to think. and he let them know that their opinions do matter. great job james!
