Using conditional formatting in Excel (this video is using Excel 2007) to change cell color when a specific word is typed in and how to automatically alternate row color. Shows how to record a macro to alternate the row color.

  • can you tell me how to total up sums on the last page of the work book from the sum cell on all the other work pages?

  • @susiebuttertoes I'm a little bit weak on brain cells this AM as I'm still on my first cup of coffee :) However, you could total all pages, on their page and then do a formula on the last page linking the total cells on other pages. So if the total on worksheet 1 is in cell C3 and on w/s 2 it's in D4 and on w/s 3 it's in C7 you would go to w/s 4 and click the + sign and then go to the first w/s and click in C3, then + again and then to w/s to D4 and then the + again to w/s and C3.
