Acrobat Music will be releasing the 1960 British Hit Parade in January 2011, a collection of 3 4CD sets comprising every record to enter the NME, Record Mirror, Melody Maker, Disc and newly inaugurated Record Retailer charts during that year.




This is the latest in the series of annual releases inaugurated in 2003 with "The First British Hit Parade" containing all the records from the first British record chart in 1952. Since then, the unique series, collecting together every single to enter the UK charts during each year, has been produced by Acrobat, apart from a break with 1958 and 1959 collections, when, as a result of a legal dispute with our former investors, a company set up by them took advantage of the hiatus to release versions of the concept.




As can be seen from the other story on this page, the complete series is now being re-instated, including the official Acrobat versions of 1958 and 1959.




There is once again an alternative version of the 1960 collection being advertised by the company which has tried to imitate the concept, so if you want the real thing, and wish to collect the complete authentic Acrobat series, please be sure that you are ordering our version.
