I explain the end of my confident faith in God and the beginning of what became irreparable doubts about God's existence, given the current lack of motivating evidence for believing in Him.

  • @fbonnefoy91 Given Evid3nc3's quoting of Beaudrillard who else could he be?

  • @Dodec84 In my opinion, this is merely a philosophical hypothesis at best. It shouldn't be fed to the masses of less mature minded people such as children.

  • @Dodec84 I'm sure if you watch and listen carefully, you'll discover it on your own. It's quite obvious. Maybe if I have the time, I'll post back on this comment with minute markers for reference. But it's my opinion that whoever created this speech, and video, like to talk more than research and study. Otherwise they would have known there was a contradiction. The efforts aren't the issue in any way. Only the message.

  • @theartofthecovenant i'm curious what it is

  • @ThatGuyWithHippyHair ٍSo the alternatives are: The universe came into existance through some unknown naturalistic mechanism that runs contrary to our past experience of how the world works, or the universe came into existance through some unknown supernatural being that runs contrary to our past experience of how the world works. I still think the first one is preferable.

  • I think Evid3nc3 is a bit too optimistic that "our minds will naturally shave the unnecessary element away" ... I think Occam's razor is an active thinking process, not something passive what happens in ALL brains.

  • What if the professor is a simulacrum? :O

  • You are really doing a great job. Your videos are captivating and engaging. I was lucky not to be indoctrinated as a kid but as a teen went on a personal quest for god. I read the new and old testament and it sealed the deal for me. These books had special purposes for their time but it's the stuff of antiquity.

When Professor said:"That's all it takes" he summed up his argument as well as answered your question. Once you had doubt, it broke the simulation. What an economic clever & statement.

  • You guys don't know who the Professor is? You must not have seen the follow up video where he gives Chris the choice between three different Pokemon.

  • Has the Professor seen this? I wonder what he'd make of it.
