I donate platelets at the USC Donor Center (GO TROJANS!) lol JK! I have donated platelets over 17 times and it feels awesome doing so. :) I would encourage those who are thinking about donating to go for it! There is nothing to be scared of :)

I'm excited, I'm going to be donating platelets this Saturday. I work in Oncology so I know how vital donations are to the life of someone. Thanks for posting this!

I just did my first whole blood donation in while and they said I would be perfect for platelet donation. So I will be going asap!!! [ Two weeks :) ]

hey, I'm 18yrs old and i'm a blood donor...I'd really like to be a platelet donor too. Can I donate blood and platelet or just do one or the other? Also i'm not overly sure how to become a platelet donor, do i ask the nurses at my next appointment for when i give blood?

@tinker2104 Hello, you can contact the UCLA Blood at Platelet Center directly at gotblood.ucla.edu. They should be able to answer any of your questions.
