The deadlock problem in Congress is Republicans who signed an oath to Grover Norquist not to raise taxes on the rich. You can find a list of those who have signed the pledge - search "TPM's Running List Of Republicans Who Have Renounced Grover Norquist" (Dec 11, 2012). They CLAIM they have renounced Norquist but still want "neutral revenue" tax reform (to funnel revenue to the rich) and want to raise the benefit age for Social Security to 70. Yet these “cuts” have already been circumvented by the President himself, who, on his trip to Israel, presented Netanyahu with a new 10-year aid “package” totaling some $40 billion – a $10 billion increase over the last such agreement. WE GIVE ISRAEL $11 MILLION DAYS A DAY ! OUR TAXPAYER MONEY !
