Just ace, i think this must be the same time i saw them (purely by chance) supporting the fall - could even be the same shirt - they were brilliant and i fell in love with russell senior's cheekbones and Jarvis of course.

It's about a party that Jarvis went to, to this architect's house in Lyndhurst Grove and apparently during the party he argued with the guy and he threw him out. So Jarvis went home and wrote a song about it. The new owners of the house don't mind Pulp fans coming there and taking photos of the house. So next time you're in London...you know what to do. :D

It's the third song of Inside Susan: a story in 3 songs (others being 'Stacks' and 'Inside Susan' - and also the babysitter later on but that's sort of a sequel) and the sleeve notes explain the story a bit:
"following Susan from her Rotherham puberty through wild teen years in Sheffield to her eventual marriage and settling down somewhere on the outskirts of London"
love this song - so peaceful

Is this at Union Chapel?

I remeber my best friend and I coming back to my house as teenagers after seeing Pulp live at Keele uni, and watching this video over and over again...

@thelinguistbr pretty self-explanatory if you listen to the lyrics.

Jarvis is so young and handsome here. And Russell with his Eldritch-fan look

This has got to be one of the best pre-fame Pulp songs. I love the offkey singing.
