This is my new 100g tank. I traded my 55g for it a few weeks ago. It needed a little work but it was worth it. My plans are to take the wood you see in the corner and make it into a cozy little corner for the turtles with some fake plants and stuff like that. I also gave Mace, my other tiger oscar some feeders.

The turtles went after the goldfish too but didnt really catch any. I bought them their own rosy red minnows which I tried to euthanize so that I could hand feed the turtles. I took some advice which says to put a fish in ice water will give them an instant painless death. That's a lie. They didn't die instantly and I felt horrible. I had it filmed because I was going to film the turtles eating but the fish just made me sad so I deleted it. I have the rest of the batch frozen for them next time and I will film that.

Anyway same thing goes for this video. I don't do feeders often at all. This is maybe the third time I have fed them. Their main staple is Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold pellets.

Sorry about the shaky camera

  • holy shit how long did it take for that O to grow that BIG

  • @JohnCook125 lol he was about a year old at that time.

  • how is the oscar and the turtles getting aling? i have 2 res and im thinking of adding an oscar.. i have a 115 gallon tank

  • @111PeLaDo111 They did really well for about a year and a half until my oscar passed away. I believe that was stress from a major move though so unrelated to living with turtles. If you add an oscar you really need to consider the size of both the oscar and the turtles. If anyone fits in anyone elses mouth they will be dinner. Also keep the turtles well fed and they will leave your oscars fins alone, if not he will have bites all over.

  • what is the tank sitting on?

  • @111PeLaDo111 It is a stand made from cinder blocks and a soft wood to pad the bottom. I was trying to keep it lower to the ground to give it a indoor pond feel.
