  • This song, which The King Sisters introduced in the film "On Stage Everybody," was perfected by the explosive Betty Hutton -- whose definite recording (heard here) peaked at #4 over a ten week chart run beginning April 7, 1945. If you like this -- and who could not -- also check out some of Betty's other hits, like "Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief" and "His Rocking Horse Ran Away."

  • My favorite line in any song: "a double mickey for the ickies"

Betty was an amazing talent - energetic, funny, sexy and a good singer. Bette Midler tried to copy her persona but came up way short.

I wish Betty had a happier life. She deserved it.

  • She almost yodels in this one! She has a Martha Raye style here, well I guess she was more a comedian in her movies at that time, wasnt she? Maybe she sang this to the soldiers at USO shows during world war 2 ! It's got that 40s teasey, swingy saucy stuff like that there! !! I like Bette even more now that I heard this! thanks!!

  • Awwww Man ...Thank You!!!
