It was after the Masquerade ball at I-con 28 at the Holiday Inn hotel where the attendees and staffers were turning in for the night until the fire alarm went off and woke everybody up and caused us to evacuate the building and wait in the feezing cold of the long island sound.

Byron-The Traveler then went downstairs to the storage room and got blankets to keep everybody warm.

The whole moment was captured on tape.

  • The Springfield, Vermont Holiday Inn has Wheelock MTs.

  • notice how the strobes start flashing several times before the horns went.

  • And yes I know Fire Alarms are annoying but there designed to get your attention and pretty much wake the dead. It's all about life safety. You have deaf people and blind people and all that has to be taken into account. These days you can get sued over anything.

    It's like I noticed the Fire Department just pulls up like nothing is going on. They should be running Code 3 and busting ass to get to a hotel that size false alarm or not. Nice vid btw I'm gonna bookmark it and show some friends.

  • What is total bullshit about this clip is how long that alarm was in alarm mode before the damn Fire Department even responded. I'm a Fire Alarm Installer and Tech and if the local Fire Marshall saw this video and the time delay that was involved before Emergency Officals were on scene he would have had someones ass. As soon as the panel goes into alarm you have no more than 30 seconds to 60 seconds and it's reporting to the monitoring company.

  • I was there! My god that fire alram was annoying as hell! They had us standing out in the goddamn cold for like half-n-hour?!! Everyone was crusing like crazy becuz they didn't know what was going on.

  • It was actually about 4 AM (unless there were two and I slept through the first one? Entirely possible);

    That was the dumbest sounding fire alarm I've ever heard, and since there were no lights, no one had a clue what was going on. Thank god it wasn't a real emergency. ;p
