I get very dizzy while doing my axel.
-
@TulsaSkaterChic its because if your hips are open its harder to control your pelvis and hip strenghth and stability would help :)
-
your loop is awesome but you are cheating your axel i think you need .5 of rotations
-
my free leg wraps around on the ice too !!! Your axel looks fine, better than mine lol. My coach said that if I had more height I would be able to finish the rotation on the axel, but I still have a lot of work to do on my other jumps, so the axel will come... someday hehe. When are you going for ur adult silver MIF??? it's nice to see there are adults skaters out there, i was 23 when I started skating (i am 24 now). how old r u?

well done,i'm practicing the axel right now,i still land on two feet though(on ice) i think maybe it should help if i practice it off ice?did it help you?

great video! Especially the slo-mo on the axel. I need to make one of my off-ice jumps, but I'm afraid to watch it! lol.
U totally got ur axel off-ice!!!!!!! I can't even land my axel off-ice, I fall to my left. Lately I've been wrapping my free leg around on my loop, flip and lutz jumps, my coach said it's because I have open hips... gosh, I hope I don't end up with Yakari Nakano's leg wrap :-0
How long have u been skating for? I see ur a Bronze level... I was gunna take my bronze MIF this month but I will prob take it next month

I also have very open hips, maybe that's why the free leg tends to wrap a bit in my off ice jumps. Funny thing is they don't as much on the ice. The off ice axel is still under rotated, but I'm getting more of the feel. I'll get there someday! I've been skating just under 3 years.
