TV Journalist and March of Dimes Volunteer Jane Clayson tells her story about the premature birth of her son William.
William was born weighing only 2 pounds, thirteen ounces and spent three months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
But thanks to his family's support, advanced medical care and research the March of Dimes helped fund, young William, today, is a vibrant little boy.
Jane Clayson and her family formed a March for Babies Family Team to help support the March of Dimes mission to give every baby a healthy start.
Visit marchforbabies.org to form your own family team or to find out more information.

  • I need to share this! My Grandbaby was born 3 weeks ago and God took her home in just 9 hrs! My Daughter is walking in this for March of Dimes and I am SO Proud of her! She is hurting so badly and still thinks of all the babies that need help!

  • My daughter Kim is walking for the 1st time for the March of Dimes. I have two healthy grandaughters by her and she wants to show her love and support to the less fortunate. We will keep you in our prayers.

  • My close friends are walking and I am happy to help.

  • My son, Seth, was born 6 weeks early & spent 19 days in the NICU. March of Dimes took great care of me & my family, helping us with information, support and any other needs we had. I have made a team to walk in the March for Babies this year & am excited to help in any way I can for this great cause.

  • @MAGICLOVER8 I was born 3 months early in 1987 when almost no baby my size lived . Thanks to them I just celebrated my 23 birthday 5 weeks ago

  • I was born 3 Months Premature, i weighed only 2 pounds, It is because of the people that walked that i am alive today. That is why i am walking.

  • I had twin baby girls name sofia and lillian. Sofia was born November 3, 2009 at 22 weeks the doctoors did not take her to NICU she passed 30 mins later. Lillian was born 6 days later on the 9th at 23 weeks, they did not take her as well, she died in about the same amount of time. I am very greatful for the time i hads with them and for the chance to experience a mothers love. I have started a team to walk in the march to remember my daughters.

  • I had my son Matthew at 22 weeks. He was 15.6 ounces and 10 inches long. God called him home 2 days later. My child was a blessing to me and my family. I honor his memory every year by walking for the March of Dimes. My hope is that one day, another family will not have to suffer this tragedy. Happy birthday Matthew and THANK YOU MARCH OF DIMES!!!!!

  • I can't believe the negativity and ignorance of people on this thread!People should look at their lives and count their blessings they have before passing judgement about the MOD.We had twins born 13 weeks early at 1lb. 11oz and 2lbs. Our daughter fought very hard for 5 1/2 months until God called her to heaven with him. The March of Dimes could not prevent this from happening, but the funds they raise help research things that can help babies in the future to get the medical care they need.

  • My baby,Paige, was born at 34 wks, 4lbs 12 oz and NO ONE was there. March of Dimes did NOT come help me. I had to sail the NICU ALONE! Paige was not as sick as others, but I needed help, navigating NICU, my feelings, etc. I still support March of Dimes because no one should have to go through this, NICU is Heck on Earth, it kills your spirit and scares the crap out of you. You can't deal with anything else than your child in NICU, Paige was there for 25 days, and I KNOW that is nothing. DONATE!

  • This is my 6th year on the MS Gulf Coast to raise money for the MOD!!! :D

Email me to find out how to donate online!!
