Happy 2012! Here's the Jungle Theme (also known as Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy) from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The piece was composed by Koji Kondo and this is the arrangement from the Mario de Jazz album, which I've discovered thanks to Zorsy! Though it is one of the less memorable themes of the game, the Jazz arrangement gives it a fun twist.

Last January, I decided 2011 would be my piano year and I'm happy to say I've succeeded in achieving that! I went from a flaky ~30 minutes of practice a day to a stable 2 hours and I've finally started uploading performances. Thanks a lot to all of my 113 subscribers! At the beginning of last year, my goal was to reach 10 subscribers, haha. Let's see if I can get to 300 by the end of this year (by ramping up the content accordingly, of course)!

Coming up next:
- Some Final Fantasy V
- Some Kingdom Hearts: Field & Battle
- Some Final Fantasy X
- My own arrangement from Zelda?

The copyright for this piece goes to Nintendo and/or Koji Kondo.

  • That was a fun piece and well practiced also. Congrats on the 113 and it looks like a fun line-up of upcoming uploads, man. Also I'm happy you're uploading, I partially just knew that you were a piano player since I saw your transcribe of Corridors of Time and I'm happy to hear that I'll be viewing more of your performances on a regular basis. Happy New Year. :p

  • @VirtualHarmonies Thanks and happy 2012 to you too. Now, get uploading! :P

  • Nicely played. Keep it up buddy! J'ai vu ton amélioration au cours de 2011. Ta perséverance et ta passion pour ton instrument me laisse sans aucun doute qu'en 2012, tu nous gâtera d'encore meilleures performances.

  • nice

  • @3llianX

I have one coming SOON, but it's a Verdegrand arrangement, so it's been taking some time. Maybe 2 more weeks... :p

  • @daigoro789 Thank you! It's hard to see one's own progression because it's so gradual. That's another reason why it's great to build up a YouTube channel, so you can see how you've improved. I look forward to watching my first videos and cringing in a year or two :)

  • Veeeeeery nice!

  • beautiful, i didn't think that much could be made out of the original. you guys really make me want to get that sheet book haha. congrats on getting a regular piano routine going, all the best for 2012.

  • Nice! Very cute :)
