I don't know why people is saying this ending is dissapointing. I expected something like this. The Chimera are dead, Capelli returns with his family and there's no cliffhanger at the last second. Maybe Resistace 4 is set in the first years of the Chimera invasion with another character.

@januscisioscarin If feels like a "safe" ending. After playing through the game, all the things you go through, you'd expect a grander finale.

@januscisioscarin The Chimera aren't dead. All Capelli did was stop the "True" Chimera from coming. The earthly population is still 90% Chimera.

No you don't see any "True" chimera, idk what was in the sky at the end of R2, and no explanation on the grey tech. Maybe in R4. lol

@AnalogHypeHD oh and the grey tech was the shattered remains of the "parthemulas weapon" (now that is mispelled lol) with was created by the pure chimea before the age of man. deadalse was trying to recover these remains to rebuild the weapon but thanks to specter team he failed to do so.

@AnalogHypeHD the end of r2 was a glimp's (might be misspelled i know) into the fate of the earth if dedalse's (another misspell) plan was sucessful and the "pure" chimera was able to inhabit the planet, but thanks to the efforts of nathan hale, joe capelli and possibly james grayson, the chimera plan failed :P

the final boss fight should of been with a pure chemera coming throught the wormhole but this ending was just dissapointing

@AnalogHypeHD You didn't listen to the radio messages in the credits did you? Messages were coming in from all over the world via HAM radio that stated that the Chimera were retreating, so humanity was winning. There will probably be a Resistance 4 to eliminate the Chimera for good, but Capelli did get them on the right road to defeating the Chimera too.

If this is actually the end to the Resistance series, it is very disappointing. So much left unexplained. Such a richly detailed story that's not being told. We only get glimpses of it in the extra journals and stuff we pick up. They need to make another one, if only for the purpose of explaining at least some of the other stuff. I'm not asking for every little detail, but something is better than nothing.
