This was the only cool part of Poltergeist II. Or at least, the only cool part of what I saw of PII. Creature designed by the same guy who brought you Alien. Yep.

Yes, his name is Noble Craig, he is an amputee actor ; i think i also saw a few pre-production designs for the Vomit Creature on H.R. Giger's website :) Notably the one with the grin (1:07), and another design for the creature under its final form on the Other Side.

Why is she so upset? He's just trying to go about his business just like any other toothy vomit monster from beyond hell. Seriously, though, this was absolutely horrifying and I loved every second of it.

I think there's a bit of a "not good" story behind this.
Giger had ideas for a much better way to execute this, but....of course, the studio wouldn't hear it.
