Professor Tom Solomon of the University of Liverpool and Walton Neurocentre, UK, is running the London Marathon raising money for The Encephalitis Society. Encephalitis is inflammation and swelling of the brain, usually caused by a virus. The Encephalitis Society supports those affected, raises awareness and funds research.
