    Could you buy this device via Verizon and then unlock the phone? So you can buy the phone for 200$ and use it with any sim card?

    The phone is "global" ready, meaning it's already unlocked. Don't have to do anything but put your SIM card inside.

    But if you buy the phone for $200 via Verizon and try to cancel, Verizon will charge you a huge ETF fee (to recover the rest of the price of the phone).
