@MrsBobbyJamesEwing Maybe Bobby was secretly happy that Pam's abandonment of he and poor, little Christopher would make other women look on him with pity. Then their pity causes the to take their tops off and drop their drawers and the next few hours are spent trying to cheer Bobby "up!"

@willandshaylin2008 Agree. This was a ridiculous storyline. Most of JR's schemes, for the most part, made sense. This one did not. He never explained how Bobby's loss of Christopher's custody would compel him to throw in with his efforts to take over Westar. How would Bobby having control of Christopher's Wentworth Industries stock help JR gain control of Westar? JR got at least $400 million when Westar bought Ewing Oil. That, along with his already huge fortune, should have been sufficient.

Not one of the better Ewing BBQs. Notable only because it was the last the show ever had. Although the show did continue location shot in TX for 1 more season in '88, they did not film a BBQ that year. I don't know why. The best BBQs (IMO) were in '84 & '86. Notice that Cliff & JR are wearing the same outfits that they wore the season before ('86 BBQ).

off all the things jr ever did i think this was by far the worst i loved some off the things he did they way he set people up pulled all the strings to get what he wanted but getting lisa alden to sue for custody of christopher so he could get bobby to help him take over weststar was apalling even jr knew he went to far when he bowed his head at the court hearing when it was bought up

Bobby should have slapped Lisa Alden in the face at the Barbecue for spilling the beans about Christopher's paternity at the barbecue.

dcntry, Bobby should have gone to look for Pam bigtime after she disappeared from the hospital. Bobby gave up on Pam waay too easily.

dcntry, Bobby and Christopher were never the same after Pam/VP left the show. I HATED the character of Lisa Alden bigtime. Poor Bobby and Christopher. Bobby should have gone to look for Pam bigtime after she disappeared from the hospital.
