A recent truce mediated by the Roman Catholic Church in El Salvador has dramatically reduced gang killings in that Central American country, which along with neighboring Honduras, is plagued by a homicide rate 10 times the global average. Activists in Los Angeles, California in the United States hope to achieve similar results. VOA's Mike O'Sullivan reports
