This is a simple crochet face scrubbie tutorial. The scrubbie measures approximately 3 1/2" around but can be made bigger or smaller.

Follow this simple pattern,

chain 2
12 hdc in 1st chain, slip stitch to join
chain 2
hdc in same stitch as chain
2 hdc in each hdc, slip stitch to join, 24 hdc
chain 2
hdc in same stitch as chain
1 hdc in next stitch, 2 hdc in next stitch, slip stitch to join
chain 1
sc in each stitch

  • Thank you so much. This is quick and easy. I am beginning my holiday crafting tonight and this will be the first gift...a set of face scrubbies and some all-natural face wash for a friend.

  • @cyndyava6 Thanks so much for viewing. I'm doing the same thing for Christmas gifts.

  • So you start as you would a granny square? I'm having some serious problems with being able to get my center large enough to hold 12 dc. Can you start with 4 dc to make the center large enough?

  • @dnkbotkins If you start with only 4 dc then you're going to have to add another row. It's going to get tight but keep adding the dc in the center until you get to twelve.

I crochet in the round a ton, and this is always sufficiently tight (or can be loosened by chaining more before sl st together).

  • If you're having trouble fitting a

  • When you say hdc in same stitch as chain, what does that mean? Im bran new to crochet and I am confused at that part. Thank you

  • @MsSylence I uploaded the instructions for the square scrubbie.

  • @dnkbotkins - I now use a magic circle to get this started - it helped - I found a youtube video on it. I had the same problem trying to squeeze them all in. Maybe that would work better for you to.

  • @colorsoflily Yay! thank you so much! I cant wait!!
