This beef signified the transition of hip-hop turning into the rest of popular music. The fact that a very well-respected rapper, KRS-One, basically destroyed Nelly thus Nelly being completely shunned by the hip-hop community yet still gained major success due to his pop audience showed what the culture had turned into.

@MysticalTV Yea lets compare their fan base, career, and agenda. Krs one is almost unheard of outside of the U.S. while nelly has fans in countries you have probably never heard of. As far as their careers, if you are talking how financially successful they are nelly wins there also. As far as their agendas go nelly has given more money to charities helping Children, Disaster Relief, Human Rights, Rape/Sexual Abuse, Refugees than krs-one even has, Nuff said.

krs one is a legend and is commended for what he has done with the hip hop industry ... but at the same time his is very arrogant he has to many opinions and comments towards artists nelly is a great artist accomplished alot very versatile music between singin rappin and bein on counrty songs havin hit n goin platinum i mean hats tipped to the man not my preference of music but his grind was serious
