http://www.YouthBaseballVideo.com - The one-knee follow through drill will train young baseball pitchers to develop a safe, fluid pitching motion. It will also improve accuracy and speed.

  • You NEVER have kids do this drill or pitching motion without releasing the ball. This is just a great way to hurt young arms. Their arms should not be decelerating with the weight of a ball in their hand. For this reason, not only is this a terrible video, it is very ignorant and irresponsible to post and should be removed or redone.

  • @Sixstringz777 I do this drill but I throw it with someone else instead of just not letting go of the ball...

  • Deceleration with the weight of the ball may help strengthen a young arm. I haven't seen any injuries from doing this.... Remember this is an upper body drill, their arms aren't moving fast. My problem with this vid is the folding of the gloves at follow thru. Gloves arent anywhere near fielding position.

  • IF YOU RELEASE THE BALL

  • THIS VIDEO NEEDS TO BE REMOVED NOW. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS DRILL PLEASE RELEASE THE BALL.

  • @Sixstringz777 Looks like they're doing this drill relatively lightly just to get the technique.

  • @Sixstringz777 And how would you do this?

  • im srry, and i know im only 12, but, i think drills like these teach more of a mechanical delivery, and the best of pitchers have fluid, free-flowing motions.

(ex. Tim Lincecum, Justin Verlander, Shoaib Akhtar (fastest cricket bowler), Yovani Gallardo, are all masters of fluid, full-body motions. thank you.

  • but other than that its a really good drill and vido
