Actualy the Mr. Fusion is just for the flux capasitor. This is mentioned in Part 3 when the fuel line is cut ont the Delorean. It still runs on Regular.

EVERYONE who thinks chitty is better are IDIOTS because the delorean is way better it can fly, time travel, and time travels on trash. Everyone says time travel has not been invented yet, but think about it someone could have already invented a time machine and we could not even know it because doc didnt tell the world he built a time machine.
