Few houses built by diaspora communities who will actually never live there is not much of an accomplishment. The people of Hargaisa are starving and they need jobs since unemployment in this of Somalia is something like 90%.

True but consider that 20 years ago there was nothing there. Everything was destroyed. Plus Somaliland gets no financial aid unlike the millions that the so called TFG of Somalia gets. There is much more to be done, but a least schools, universities and a society is being built. I wouldnt say that the 'people of Hargeisa are starving' , but i would say that there are a lot of needy people. Just like in the rest of Somalia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
