A Nelena/Jemi Story- Episode 25 (Joy)

I'm going to be trying something new. Every chapter will have a quote at the beginning. It will relate to something one of the characters in the episode is thinking. Can you guess who is thinking it, and why? I will post the answer on the next chapter.




Chapter quote :

Pleasant fragrances of the breezes of love blow from the lovers even though they might conceal it. The effects of these breezes bear witness to them even if they disguise it and are apparent even if they hide it.

Demi's POV

After eating a dozen big macs, large fries, and several cokes, Joe suggested we take a walk to burn off the extra calories we earned. I was trying to keep pace with him, walking side by side.

"Where we going?"

"I don't know yet..." He shrugged his shoulders. "We'll find out when we get there."
I smirked and followed him quietly.




He stopped when we reached a little park surrounded by a vast amount of trees. It was deserted, but I loved it. It was a place me and Joe could hang out and be ourselves without getting booked by grandpas.
"You up for a game of tag?"
"Seriously?" Tag in a skirt? Well, I was wearing tights. "Sure, but you're IT Joe!"

"Hey!"


I laughed as he chased after me. I ran up to the side of the playscape and climbed the roped bridge quickly. Joe imitated me but the difference was that his legs would get tangled in the ropes and he'd fall down. I laughed some more after I caught a glimpse of all the grass stains on his pants.




I kept running and running until I reached the top tower. I took a seat in the corner, as Joe came after me panting and out of breath.
"Damn, Demi. You run a hell a lot faster than me."
"What just because I'm a girl I can't run faster than you?"
"Hey, I just had 4 cheeseburgers!"

"So did I!"



I pretended to be pissed off, and made my way around him to the slide. I sat down on the top of the slide, arms and legs crossed, with the additional puppy dog face. He came over quietly and sat behind me.

"Are you mad?" I coudn't see his face, but his voice was sincere and I had an urge to turn around and hug him. Keep your cool Demi.

"Demi?" He nudged me slightly with his hand. Still I ignored him.

"Demi?" he called again. This time he tickled my ribs. Normally I would have flipped into a fit of giggles but I was too into being fake mad at him to give in.

He sighed and wrapped his arms around me, but I still couldn't see his face. He rested his head on my shoulder. I smiled. It was working.




In a flash I turned my head to look at him. I stuck my tongue out at him and pushed my self down the slide. What I forgot was that his arm was still wrapped around me so he ended up coming down with me. When he reached the bottom, I tugged out his grip lightly and sat down on the grass a few steps away from the playscape. He came and sat next to me, wrapping his arms around me again.

"I'm sorry Demi." When I didn't respond, he turned my head to look at him and kissed me gently on the lips.



I was lovestruck. I was astonished. I was flabbergasted. I looked at him confused while he looked at me with a goofy grin on his face. I leaned closer into him and kissed him back. But this time with more force.




I could feel my head spinning as he pulled away gently. What did I do wrong? Then I saw it. Joe had his tongue out and there was a little spot of blood trickling down his tongue. Crap did I really bite his tongue?
"Sorry." I mumbled as I looked down, clearly blushing.
"Oh so now you talk." he laughed. "It's alright. The blood stopped."

I couldn't help but laughing along with him. I mean it was pretty funny.
