overall pretty good. at the beginning the clarinets were excellent. there were just some minor articulation problems, of course that could have been the recording. and the tempo NEEDS to be raised, it's way too slow. but overall, you are a very good band. i wish my band director would let us play this haha

@SuperCMajor Probably was the recording - my Canon S5IS is super for pictures however the video function is not as good. I never mentioned it to anyone however, I agree with your tempo statement. But, I am only a band mom.

@LoVe2395 Not difficult to become a member. It is a good experience for youth. There is a Bands of Calgary prospective new members meeting on August 30, 2010 at Cardel Theatre. More information is on the BOC or Stetson websites.

@AvantiBroad Thank u very much! Im probually going to attend :). I heard theres additions and stuff and theres like a high payment u have to pay to get in.

But i reeeeeelllly wanna do it! It looks like soooooo much fun!!!:)

@LoVe2395 Auditions are only for Stampede Show Band. Calgary Stetson Show Band stipulates you must be enrolled in either your high school music program or private lessons, to become a member. Membership is a 12 month season. It can be exhausting at times but, it is totally worth it. Definately attend the info session at Cardel on Aug 30 - there will be more information and all presenters for the session are still heavily involved with the BOC.

I dont really know about the tempo problem, but we played it at the tempo it said on the page. But it would sound cool if it was faster, i totally agree with you.

Actually its just because the conductor lead us in 1 bar too early by accident.

and let's not forget the saxes, we have that beginning melody too, i just have tuning to add......it could be improved

After our show wheneer i listen to this song i think the flutes are coming in wrong for the fluter tongue part lol
