I'm from the UK (Northampton), currently living in Australia. Every game I'm up at either half past midnight or 2-3am to watch the games. My whole family's from Liverpool, and so I've pretty much been brought up with it. I'll always support Liverpool, and I'm just as passionate as anyone living there etc. Off to the pub to watch the game tonight 12:30am here! work's gonna be fun tomorrow!

Even though i'm a Newcastle fan I agree entirely. I'm from Sheffield but I was raised a Newcastle fan cos of my family. When you're a kid and you start get given stuff by your family you think it must be good, so I always thought Newcastle must be good (how wrong I was!) and so was happy to follow them. I now travel 250 miles up and back every fortnight, but I imagine some people think I should support a local team. Not a chance.
Best of luck to 'Pool next season. Hope Carroll does well.

@JoshMufc101 You have to remember that those who cannot get to games also support clubs financially by other means and not just merchandise. Subscriptions to club websites for example. A dad taking his mrs and 2 kids will probably pay around £150 for the tickets. Then there's travelling, time off work, food, drinks, programmes and that's before we look at the money that parents spend on their kids to have the latest kits. All fans are equal in my eyes as long as the heart is there :)

no i don't mean on a season basis. if you go all home games in any season your a fan, not matter if you don't go any the next season. i'm talking about the people who have never been a game, i'm not saying they are not fans but i just don't see them as big of fans as people who do. obviously if you can't afford to go it's a different matter but how many people can't afford £25 or however much Liverpool games are every couple of months, not many people.

Anyway, it's a little bit like Star Wars:
Liverpool = The Rebel Alliance
Man Utd = the evil Empire and the Dark Side
Luckily I chose wisely and support the mighty Liverpool. Never regretted it for a moment. Happy times again.

I am 42 and grew up in a village in Kent. We didn't have any local teams (Maidstone Utd - got turned into Texas DIY) and when we were at primary school at age 5 or 6 you did either choose Man Utd or Liverpool.
Back then, you only ever saw footie on 'The Big Match', 'Match of the Day' or FA Cup Final day. Most football chat at school was done in Panini Football '77 stickers. My God I'm having a flashback to the day I opened the 5p packet and got the golden Liverpool badge sticker in it. Sigh.

@eMPTy270 thanks for the comment mate
ppl in china can be hardcore liverpoolfans too
supporting a club is about real LOVE, you cant help who you fall in love with, your girlfriend can change, your team never.

Im from Malaysia. Im currently 21 years old. I started supporting Liverpool since i was 5, mainly because at the time, there was a match on TV and i heard singing in the crowd. I was enchanted by that singing and that chant. I looked at the team, and saw what passion and love they had. Ive had bad times and wonderful times with Liverpool,, even contemplated supporting some other club, but i couldnt. my heart is too embed into Liverpool YNWA Dunc, great work mate.
